Flight departure times, arrival times and intermediate stops may vary. East Africa Jungle will confirm the operating airline, flight itinerary and travel arrangements before booking.

Grumeti Airstrip to Kirawira Serena Camp

Upon arrival at the confirmed Western Serengeti airstrip, your professional English-speaking safari driver-guide will meet you and assist with your luggage.

Continue to Kirawira Serena Camp in your private 4×4 safari Land Cruiser, enjoying the surrounding Western Serengeti scenery and possible wildlife sightings.

The camp is approximately 13–16 km from Grumeti Airstrip, according to published camp information. The actual transfer duration depends on road conditions, routing and wildlife-viewing stops.

Your private safari vehicle will be available for the scheduled game drives included in your confirmed itinerary.

Safari Flight Baggage Allowance

Domestic safari flights use smaller aircraft with restricted baggage capacity.

• Coastal Aviation: Standard allowance of 15 kg per passenger, including hand luggage.

• Auric Air: Standard allowance of 20 kg per passenger, including hand luggage and personal items.

• Recommended luggage: Soft-sided travel bags or duffel bags.

• Camera equipment: Counts towards the applicable total baggage allowance.

• Excess baggage: Must be arranged in advance and is subject to airline approval and aircraft capacity.

The applicable baggage allowance and bag dimensions will be confirmed with your flight reservation.

Return Flights & Onward Connections

On Day 4, your driver-guide will transfer you from Kirawira Serena Camp to the confirmed departure airstrip for your scheduled return flight to Arusha.

Travellers continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport, Zanzibar or another destination should allow sufficient time for connecting flights and ground transfers.
